Drug List Search
The drug search below contains covered drugs for 2024 for all members, preferred by CCA Medicare Maximum for their safety, cost, and effectiveness. All drugs are U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved. We are required to notify all affected members of any change at least 60 days before the change becomes effective.
Please Note: CCA members enrolled in CCA Medicare Maximum Rhode Island have no copays for covered drugs.
If the searched drug is not covered, a ‘NF’ icon will appear next to the medication. NF indicates the drug is ‘Non-Formulary’ and therefore not covered.
- Medication Name: Medicare Maximum covers both brand name drugs and generic drugs. A generic drug is approved by the FDA as having the same active ingredient as the brand name drug. Brand name drugs will appear in capitalized letters. Generic drugs will appear in lower case letters and italicized.
- Therapeutic Class: Indicates the drug’s common category.
- Dose/Strength: Indicates the drug's dosage form and strength.
- Status: Indicates the drug’s formulary status (tier number or non-formulary).
- Notes and Restrictions: Details any formulary restrictions on medications such as quantity limits, prior authorizations, or step therapy requirements.
To request an exception if your drug requires prior authorization, step therapy, has a quantity limit, or is not on the formulary, please click here.
